Marlene Dietrich by George Hurrell 1931

Marie Magdalene "Marlene" Dietrich (27 December 1901 – 6 May 1992) was a German-born American actress and singer. Dietrich remained popular throughout her long career by continually re-inventing herself, professionally and characteristically. In the Berlin of the 1920s, she acted on the stage and in silent films. Her performance as "Lola-Lola" in The Blue Angel, directed by Josef von Sternberg, brought her international fame and provided her a contract with Paramount Pictures in the US. Hollywood films such as Shanghai Express and Desire capitalised on her glamour and exotic looks, cementing her stardom and making her one of the highest-paid actresses of the era. Dietrich became a U.S. citizen in 1939, and throughout World War II she was a high-profile frontline entertainer. Although she still made occasional films in the post-war years, Dietrich spent most of the 1950s to the 1970s touring the world as a successful show performer. In 1999, the American Film Institute named Dietrich the ninth-greatest female star of all time.

FVHS Senior Rep: Mari | OC High School Senior Photographer

Mari is such a gorgeous girl...I don't think she even knows how gorgeous! I was so excited to shoot her because I knew she'd shine beyond belief! I love how her dark hair makes her clear blue eyes pop...and that alabaster skin?? I better stop before I give her a complex! Seriously though, I love this girl (and her family!) and loved our session together...Here's a glimpse at Mari:

Thanks Mari! I hope you had as much fun as I did! :) xoxo

too cute for words... | OC Newborn, Baby Photographer

Just one of the sessions I'm working on right now...and I am completely IN LOVE with this image.  I think I need to have another baby just so I can have a pic like this of one of my own children!  (I mean, I could pose my 7-yr-old or 5-yr-old or 3-yr-old like this if I really wanted to...but it just wouldn't be the same!)

Oooh, oooh!  And look at that cute baby fuzz all over his shoulder!  Loooooove!

Stay tuned for more of this sweet boy soon...
